Charity Dinner at Porters, Southend on Sea.
(The Mayors Parlour)

  Friday 17 December 2021.
Welcome drinks at 7.00 for Dinner at 7.30pm.

This very limited festive event in unique surroundings is in aid of Southend based prostate cancer charity Prost8 UK and will host just 32 guests.

Step inside one of Southend’s hidden treasures, Porters, a delightful venue built in the 15th Century that today acts as the official Mayoral parlour.

As the house will be dressed for Christmas why not start with some festive music by the Christmas tree while sipping some piping hot mulled wine or a glass of prosecco. Then take your places for a sumptuous three-course silver service dinner followed by coffee and petit fours. Complimentary wine will be served during dinner and after we will retire to the upstairs lounge for a glass of port or sherry.

The house takes its name from le-Porters, a prominent family in South-East Essex who owned the estate from the 14th Century. The venue is tucked in walled grounds in the heart of Southend, set in delightful gardens gently sloping down to a lovely pond.

Join us for the rare opportunity to dine and explore in this historic listed building. The evening includes:

  • Welcome drink and festive music
  • 3-course silver service meal
  • Wine with the meal
  • Coffee or tea with chocolates
  • Port in the upstairs lounge.

£50pp all-inclusive
Dress Smart: smart lounge suits/cocktail dresses
